I just found some time to have a seat and do some typing so yep here iam ........ and hell ill post a few pics as well ....this great weekend before xmas Jamie and i took the kids sledding (justin tried snowboarding for the firsttime )and built two walls for Tylar and Justins bedrooms.Honestly it was kinda fun ...great bonding for the two of us .....and yes we made it through building LOL .... but coming home was not to fun took me 40 min to drive what usually takes me 15 min ..Yep the roads were crap at 1 pm ...wind was blowing the white crap everywhere. then to come home and find a drift knee high through out the whole drive way and wow gotta love the plows they always leave such a great pile at the end .....but woohoo i didnt have to shovel picked up the phone and gave my cousin a call ........Gotta love him for that its 25 below out and came over what a guy ..... so ok enough here are some pics ... have a great xmas and hopefully i will see at least two of you in January...love ya all.Once again MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE HOFMANNS AND THE FOEMMELS

I THINK THE TOWN IS GOING TO HELL

OK I KNOW YOU TWO IN THE BIG CITY HEAR ABOUT THIS STUFF EVERY DAY SHOOTINGS / MURDERS HERE AND THERE. BUT AROUND HERE ITS NOT SOMETHING YOU HEAR TO OFTEN......SO THIS IS ONE FROM THIS AM I JUST HAVE TO SHARE............

MARATHON COUNTY (WAOW) -- The DNR is looking for a hunter who fired a shot that apparently went through the back of a car, narrowly missing a young girl.

It happened early this morning in the town of McMillan.

The DN-RWarden wants to remind hunters to think beyond their target.. when shooting.

"One of the safe gun handling rules is to be sure of your target and beyond and that was not the case in this situation. You should never be shooting toward any houses, any buildings out there, people hunters, anything like that, even if you have a deer infront of you if you have something like that behind you, you can't shoot," says Randy Falstad, DNR Warden Supervisor.

Marathon County Deputies interviewed some hunters in the area, but were not able to find the person who fired the shot.

Investigators say they do not believe it was intentional.. but still want to talk with anyone who has any information. .................... OH AND THIS WAS IN MARSHFIELD

You guys are kidding me right now, right?! If you want to discuss this, I'm sure there are many forums to discuss. The Edwards family deserves respect and what you have done is completely disrespectful. If you find the flag being lowered for a respectable man, talk about it somewhere else. There are a lot of friends and loved ones of the Edwards family that think he DESERVES this. I am one and definitely not the only one. This family has been through enough in the past few days that most of us will never, ever understand. Please respect the Edwards at this time of need.

11/25/2008 6:57:47 PM..................OH YES MORE I know this is a tragic situation and I do not mean any disrespect to the family, but I have to agree with the other earlier posts that the mayor of Marshfield is overstepping his bounds and should not have ordered the lowering of flags because of the death of a local business man. If you read the website listed in the previous posts regarding the Flag Code, it states that presidents and governors also cannot just choose to have it flown at half-mast just for anyone - there is specific criteria. Also, this website states that flying the flag at half staff is voluntary, so I hope local business respect the Flag Code and do not fly the flag at half staff as the mayor has "ordered". There are other ways that we can show respect to the family and express our sympathies.

The mayor is trying to show respect to a man and his family who have contributed greatly to this community, and you criticize him because of some "Flag Code" that is probably centuries old. Please please give him and the Edwards family a break, and just go with the sign of respect and concern. Nobody will get hurt, and it is a very nice way to let the family know that we as a community are sorry for their loss.

OK Marshfield went through a loose of THREE people Sat night in a plane crash .this was in the paper today ........Tuesday morning, Marshfield Mayor Chris Meyer ordered the city's American flags lowered to half-staff out of respect to James Franklin Edwards III and his sons, James and Joshua, who died Saturday night in a plane crash near the city airport.

Flags will be lowered at sunrise on Friday through sunset on Saturday, the day of their funeral.

This order is to recognize Edwards’ service as past Alderman in the 7th District and as a current member of the Marshfield Electric and Water Utility Commission as well as the community’s collective mourning of this tragedy, according to Meyer's statement...................OK THE THE IS TO FOLLOW FROM SOME PEOPLE IN TOWN ..............................I whole heartedly agree and give my deepest condolences to the Edwards family. With that said, I have never been able to get my head around the Mayor declaring the flag to be flown at half mast. This priviledge is given to the President, Governors, and the Mayor of DC only. Anyone else is stepping beyond their rights. Per the frequently asked questions at http://www.ushistory.org/betsy/flagetiq.html#f1 the order of the flag clarifies:

Can the mayor order the US flag to half-mast?
No. According to the Flag Code, only the President of the United States, your state's Governor, and the Mayor of the District of Columbia can order the US flag lowered to half-staff.

If everyone were to half-staff the US flag at will, the symbolic value of that honor would be lost. Another option is to display black crepe near the entrance to your building, perhaps with a photograph of the former mayor, firefighter, police officer, etc.

We recommend that you fly your town flag at half staff. THEN SOMEONE ELSE ADDED.................We all in the city share the loss of these three individuals in such a tragic way & at this time of the year, and I'm sure we all offer our sincerest condolence to the Edwards family.

I can understand the Mayor's compassion and I support the Mayor in many of his decisions, but not this time. The previous Mayor also used this unprecedented lowering of the flag for city politicians & employees to designate that some people are more equal than others.

An alderman is not a head of state, nor is he / she a serviceman killed in the line of duty.
This is a demeaning of the flag and it's symbolism.

There was a WWII veteran's passing this week in Marshfield, as well as other individuals yet they received no such honor from the Mayor.

This has got to stop. By what legal right does a city or town Mayor have to "order' flags lowered?

The littlest Ortner

Well my GF had me take her newborns first pictures today .DAMN he is CUTE !!!! we got a few but for some reason these really won my heart over .well i guess we got 7 really good ones. so here are a few of my favorites plus one that i took at their wedding. Hard to believe they had him before they were married one year ..and no they were not pregnant when they got married ...i love them both very much . And he can just MELT your heart ...

High School/ best friends

OK if you can stop and think that far back ...... after years of being out i have come to realize the people you thought would be in your life forever is all a lie , and the ones you thought would go away after high school you find your self very close with . Yes i understand people change but really ............iam sick of listening to people think that their life is so mush better then yours. But i guess iam looking at it this way if someone has to always talk about how great their life is they must not be all that happy and need to build it up in their head to keep them happy . Iam just as happy as the next i have everything i want in life .job , kids . man ......but i guess the difference is i dont feel i need to tell people ALL THE TIME how great it is ...Sorry but hello no ones life is that great .and if you really think it is keep talking someday it will fall and you will have no one .cause people are gonna get sick of listening ......

Thank god i have that ONE person in my life and you know who you are no matter what you know you can depend on that person if its good or bad to be honest with you even if it will hurt the other persons feelings. even if they get mad . Oh i can say that my BFF and i have had issues BUT get out we are still the best of friends nothing has changed that .I would be lost if i dont talk to her every day i guess you could say she is my rock ........(man i hope she knows that) The only down fall here is she lives so damn far away . but never the less she is my BFF .We have knowen each other for ever our kids call us auntie so really i would say almost like sisters but i love her(lol) i love her. her kids , hubby (even thought he can be a ass).SO i really hope she knows how much she has touched my life and how proud i am to call her FRIEND...

Its the crazy time

WOW !!! you can tell xmas is coming i had 4 calls yesterday for family xmas pics . i love what i do but man alive its gonna be CRAZY here. and then some where in between those i need to get the daycare kids done my boys done jamies boys done and one of all 6 of us plus jamies mom and step day want a new pics teachers are calling for pics . and Jamies sister wants her two boys done hell might as well do all the grand kids then to only three of them but if i know Deb she will want one of all the kids plus LOL man i love that women .. I found some great new ideas so iam kinda looking forward to trying it out . As busy as its gonna be i love it all . but still its crazy enough here ......

Well i got this new program for my photo studio and i did a pics of my brother two kids so i was doing some playing around i really think iam gonna like it .Also a picture of Jays 5 Girls (and no i didnt edit it) Other then that the weather here has been good mid 70's . But you know winter is around the corner you can feel it in the air .

Well happy halloween to you all . I hope the kids all had a wonderful time . Tylar and Justin were with their dad. So i went trick or treating bar to bar It was fun we had a great time . Justin was one of the blues brothers and well Ty went as a teenager LOL he said he was to old to go . NEVER to old .

WHAT A WEEKEND

Well as we say goodbye to another weekend and hello to another week ...i have to to say that this weekend was GREAT ....Tylar and Jamie did alot of goose hunting and in two days out came home with three geese. This is Tys second year out and they had a blast ..So as i was home with three young boys how wanted to do pictures (they are getting it lol) And play all kinds of things. I think we all had a great weekend .It was a long on but a fun one. The weather was great 72 not bad for Wisconsin in Oct.So i hope you all had a great weekend .Iam gonna put Pic with this too(or try to)

I to have confession to make.....

Please do not judge me either for i have betraded Target......one day things are all fine and the next he decides its time to move things without any notice he just moves things ...I must say he has made it impossible to find anything all to make a few more bucks please i dont understand .... With all the uproar i must say he has drivin me more to Wally as hard as that is to hear imagine how i feel Wally and i do not see eye to eye at all . I would go to Sams but hail the drive / But yes i will give Target another chance once we have time to walk together without a child yelling ....Iam sure he and i will become as close as we once were but i just feel i need to take this time away from him .I hope he knows how much i do miss him ........

I just wanted to wish you all a happy HUMP day ...My day has started off very well ...Jamie stopped for COFFEE *wink wink* and off to work he goes .......Tylar woke up with the worst hair but tells me with home coming is as you woke up GOD THE POOR TEACHERS.the school is gonna smell BAD. .The weather here is enough to make you crawl back into bed and cover your head chilly and damp GROSS!!! other then that the day is going well ......so far .....so happy hump day to you all enjoy the rest of your week
